Why Peak?

Distinguished College Acceptances
Last year’s senior class was accepted to 100% of the colleges and universities they applied to. Peak’s matriculation list reflects the unique mix of personalities, interests, and goals of our senior class.
Higher Test Scores
While we don’t “teach to the test” our students have success with standardized tests. Over the last three years, our average SAT score was 1160, and our 8th graders scored in the 71st percentile on the PSAT 8/9.
A Safe School Environment
Located across the street from the Frisco Police Station, Peak has a small teacher-to-student ratio where everyone knows each other.
Seamless Transitions for Student-Athletes
Our flexible academic schedule allows student-athletes to attend all of their core academic classes in the morning, so when they leave in the afternoon, they don't have make-up work or online classes.
Outdoor Education
Students participate in three-day hut trips, orientation trips, and “mountain days.” Electives like fly fishing, wilderness medicine, and roping are part of our hands-on learning.
Smaller Class Sizes
The Peak School has a student-to-teacher ratio of 7:1, ensuring personalized attention and strong relationships.
Challenging and Engaging Classes
At The Peak School, we combine a personalized, progressive education with high academic expectations. Students are encouraged to pursue curiosity and engage deeply with their learning.
Proactive Communication
Student success depends on strong communication between students, parents, and teachers. We emphasize clear, thoughtful dialogue through speaking, listening, and writing.
  • "We never considered private school, but we were thrilled to find Peak! A small school is incredibly flexible across all needs - allowing students to work ahead in math (or repeat as needed), and offering project-based learning with science and social studies. My son has especially loved his personal relationships with his teachers. Expedition week offers travel for college visits and to countries for service projects. The outdoor education trips allow teachers to mentor outside of the classroom, and the students love that time together. Take a tour! Do a shadow day! You won't regret it.

  • "Our family was drawn to the school as a great cultural and academic fit and after our first tour we were sold. In addition to the supportive environment and academic rigor, the staff are caring, engaged and eager to create space for students that helps them achieve positive personal growth as well as thrive academically. We really love that the class sizes are small and that our daughter receives increased individualized attention which leads to improved academic performance. We cannot share enough great examples how Peak has raised our daughter's confidence, love for learning, lifelong friendships, and mountain memories!"

  • Peak creates independent, critical thinkers. Students play an important role in their learning. They are aware of the standards they are trying to achieve and why those objectives are important. Plus, grades are dynamic. Students can learn from their mistakes by correcting them and getting recognized for that effort.”

    -Peak Parent

  • “I would say the most important factors in choosing Peak were the teacher to student ratio, the harder curriculum, and the overall values that Peak upholds.”
